COUNSELOR'S CORNER
Hello, KGJ Stem @ Crockett Families!
My name is Heather Priest and I am the school counselor for STEM Academy @ Crockett. Before becoming a counselor, I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade for 15 years, five of those being with GISD. I also call Greenville home, as I graduated from Greenville High School in 1998. I then attended A&M-Commerce for my undergrad in Interdisciplinary Studies and recently received a Master of Science in Professional School Counseling from Angelo State University. I am a mother to three beautiful children with my youngest starting her senior year with GISD this year.
As the school counselor, I teach guidance lessons in all classrooms grades K-4, conduct individual and small group counseling, and connect students and families with resources that help meet their needs both inside and outside the classroom.
